Private Moon, Leonid Tishkov

Russian artist Leonid Tishkov doesn’t just experience the moon from a distance, but rather, he has a regular, close-up love affair with the glowing lunar sliver found throughout his ongoing project, entitled Private Moon.

Using the light of his own personal moon, Tishkov continues to take us on a journey as he collaborates with photographers to document new and unique visual poetry. In an interview, the artist said, “Each time the moon reveals more space to me. The moon is a shining point that brings people together from different countries, of different nationalities and cultures. And everyone who gets in its orbit does not forget it ever. It gives fairytale and poetry in our prosy and mercantile world.”
